Itinerary
Day 1: High Atlas Passes, Rose Valleys, and Sunset Camel Trek
Your adventure begins bright and early with a pickup from your Marrakech hotel. We head immediately for the High Atlas Mountains, climbing the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m). Watch the scenery transform from green plains to vibrant mountain slopes dotted with small Berber villages. We'll pass through the legendary film town of Ouarzazate, the fragrant Valley of Roses, and the scenic Dades Valley before arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
After a welcoming mint tea, your trusty camels and guide will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes as the sun begins to set. It's a truly magical 1 hour trek to your desert camp. Settle into your cozy Berber tent for the night. Following a wonderful dinner, the evening comes alive with a campfire, traditional drumming, and the captivating songs of the local Berber nomads.
Day 2: Sunrise over the Dunes and the Road to Fez
Wake up before dawn and take a short walk up the dunes to witness an incredible desert sunrise, the light over the vast sandscape is breathtaking. After a final camel ride back to the hotel for a delicious breakfast and a refreshing shower, we begin the return journey.
Our route to Fez takes us through the lush Ziz Valley, past authentic Berber villages, and across the spectacular landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will arrive in Fez in the afternoon, concluding your memorable desert trek.
